These interactive functions and web applications are becoming critical to the survival of businesses which generate significant revenue via the web, even if indirectly through marketing and advertising. As competitors draw visitors by deploying captivating web 2.0 innovations to their websites, a business that does not is left at a serious disadvantage. Dance studios are no exception to this rule of modern business.
It requires a website to market a dance studio in a competitive urban environment where dance studios are prevalent. Shrewd dance studios owners will already have a first generation web site in order to provide a description of services, fee lists, calendars, and other informative content.
The majority of these websites do not, however, incorporate major interactive components right now. They continue to utilize dance marketing plans based on first generation internet technology. Web 2 technology is expected to be used more for future dance studio marketing, however, as more businesses venture out and embrace the latest techniques.
The survival of any business depends on its being able to attract new customers while also serving the needs of its current clients. A dance studio can compete more effectively by utilizing modern Internet applications: Blogs, video, interactive features, and social networking sites. Since so many dance studios are required to either lease or purchase commercial space outright, maximizing advantages can spell the difference between a business that succeeds and a business that fails.
